Meet the Artist…

Antonia is a well known, established artist based in Dorset and a member of the Society of Wildlife Artists (SWLA), exhibiting annually at the Mall Galleries in London.

‘My essential inspiration has always been birds and the sea with its changing light, more recently I’ve developed an interest in woodland and field shapes..it was that first trip to Branscombe!

I trained in both Natural History Illustration & Fine Art, a nice balance I think for how I work, which these days is often on location. I love nature & also love to travel, on Adventures near & far, painting within the landscape itself bringing an immediacy to my work. Having set up my easel, I like the challenge of ‘looking’ and making quick decisions with my brush…’

Antonia has also worked with Dorset Wildlife Trust for over 30 years, producing illustrations and nature panels for many of the Trust’s reserves.
